Publications by Maureen E. Green

Maureen Eleanor Green, a fourth generation New Zealander, splits her time between urban and rural living. Her retirement has provided an opportunity to explore other creative avenues.
Encouraged by her family to record the stories that she invented for her three grandsons, she joined a writing group in September 2005.
The first of her manuscripts, written in 2005, and offered for publication, was ‘Magic in the air’. This children’s story is contracted to and handled by the American Children’s Literary Agency.
Three short stories entered into competitions in England in 2006 were selected in the top twenty works and published in compilations of works by Secret Attic.
‘It’s Great to be Me’ and An ‘Egg’s an Egg’, the first two stories of an anthology based on childhood experiences, have been published by T-Zero’s in their July 2006 and October 2006 editions
Literary Road contracted her adult novel, Consequences and it is now available on the Literary Road Website.
Maureen is experienced in creating resources for children aged five to thirteen. As the author of three level guides, first readers, captioned sequence readers and power-point presentations she promotes literacy in her own school.
At a New Zealand national level, she has been engaged in curriculum writing and research focused on enhancing performance in reading and written language.
From this experience she has written Four Dragons (A Chinese Myth Retold), which won the Bigziddlezot Multimedia 2006 Children's Book Award.
